The Hamidi tree has good vigor and a semi-erect canopy shape. The variety is early, with fruits ripening from the end of May to the beginning of June. Flowering is late. The variety is self-incompatible.

The fruits are small, weighing 31–40 g, with a pale yellow color and pleasant aroma; the flesh is moderately juicy. The plant possesses resistance to Monilinia, including blossom blight.

The variety originates from the Ras Jebel region in Tunisia. It is used in breeding programs as a parent form for creating new hybrids due to its adaptability. It is cultivated in Tunisia and Greece.
