The term Nustrali (or nostrale) translates from the Sicilian dialect as "local" and is used to denote autochthonous plant forms. In specialized databases, this name is applied to a group of local folk apricot forms distributed in Sicily.

The fruits are characterized by medium size, a round slightly asymmetrical shape, and yellow-orange skin with a light red blush. The flesh is tender, light orange in color, fragrant, and has good taste qualities. The ripening period occurs in the second ten-day period of June.
