The Romanian variety "Olimp" is late-ripening and self-fertile. Trees of this variety are distinguished by high resistance to diseases and good hardiness. The variety was obtained by crossing "Mărculești 17/52" and "Mr 42/1".

The "Олимп" variety bred by the Nikitsky Botanical Garden is a vigorous tree 4–5 meters tall with a rounded spreading crown. The variety is mid-ripening, enters fruiting in the 3rd–4th year after planting and is characterized by high yields of up to 60–80 kg per tree.

Fruits of the Nikitsky Garden variety are large, weighing 40–70 g, obovate in shape with golden-orange skin and dense orange flesh. The variety is distinguished by drought tolerance and average winter hardiness of flower buds; it is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinators.
