The OJAICO variety is a local Spanish clone of Prunus armeniaca. It is used for breeding purposes and as a pollinator for varieties such as Velazquez Tardio and Moniqui Fino, contributing to an increase in the fruit set percentage.

The fruits of the variety have an average weight of 40 to 49 grams and are distinguished by a high Brix refraction index exceeding 14 units. The variety is a subject of study within research work on evaluating the genetic diversity of local varieties and their susceptibility to the Plum pox virus.
