The Red Sylver variety, known under the trade name SWEET RED, is a mutation of the Sylred apricot variety. The plant's fruits possess a more pronounced red skin color, higher sugar content, and lower acidity compared to the parent variety.

The plant belongs to the early maturity group, ripening shortly after the Spring Blush variety. Flowering occurs in the mid-late period. The variety is not self-fertile and requires a pollinator variety to produce a crop.
