The ROJO_CARLET variety is a local cultivar grown mainly in the Porreres region of Mallorca. Under island conditions, the harvest of this variety begins earlier than other traditional varieties, for example, the Canino variety.
The fruits of the variety are characterized by juicy flesh with a pinkish hue. The variety is considered traditional and has been grown for many decades. The harvest is used for fresh consumption, as well as for making jams, compotes, drying, and adding to baked goods.

A single variety may be registered in different countries under different names. All records are consolidated into one profile based on the breeder's code—an internal number that is identical for the variety across all registries.
