The tree of this variety has high vigor and forms a spreading or semi-spreading crown. It is characterized by stable productivity. The variety is self-incompatible; two types (clones) are described in the literature — Bella di Pistoia A and Bella di Pistoia B, which have different S-genotypes.
The fruits ripen in early to mid-June. They are large, heart-shaped, and dark red in color. The firm, crunchy flesh has excellent taste qualities and medium juiciness. Due to their thick skin, the fruits are resistant to cracking. The variety is classified as a table variety and is considered relatively resistant to diseases.
