The variety has a spreading crown shape and medium or low vigor. The name «Bianca del Piemonte» is due to the light color of the fruit skin. The plant belongs to varieties of folk selection with unknown origin, and its modern distribution is extremely limited.
The fruits are very juicy but are not noted for high taste qualities, characterized by a sour taste with a bitter note. The productivity of the variety is estimated as low and unstable. In commercial horticulture, the variety has not gained wide distribution and is primarily of historical interest.
