The BIANCONA variety, often called Biancona di Garbagna, is a traditional local crop grown in the Italian regions of Piedmont and Lazio. The fruits ripen relatively late, approximately three weeks after early varieties.

The tree of this variety has a spreading canopy shape and is characterized by medium or low vigor. The fruits of this variety are characterized by a small pit.
