IFG Cher-two
ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The tree is vigorous or medium-sized with a spreading crown. Fruits weighing from 9 to 12 g have a heart-shaped or elongated-round shape. Upon full ripening, the color of the fruits becomes dark red, almost black. The flesh is firm, juicy, and sweet in taste.
The variety is intended for fresh consumption and processing. The fruits have good transportability. The variety is sensitive to rain during ripening, which can cause fruit cracking; therefore, a dry summer climate is preferred.
To obtain a yield, the variety requires cross-pollination. Suitable pollinators include varieties that bloom at the same time, such as Black Tartarian, Rainier, Stella, and Van.
