The variety belongs to the Bigarreau group and in appearance resembles the Napoleon variety, differing in its more rounded shape. The fruits are characterized as juicy, sweet, and having very firm flesh. It is a medium-ripening variety; harvesting occurs in mid-June. The plant possesses good resistance to diseases, and the fruits are resistant to wind damage.
Genetically, the variety has an S-allele genotype of S9S13. It is traditionally used in the confectionery industry for making candied fruits due to its round shape, firm flesh consistency, ease of stem detachment, and the fact that the pit does not adhere to the flesh.
