Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is the result of breeding by Washington State University and originates from a cross between the Stella and Early Burlat varieties. It belongs to the early-ripening category, maturing 8–11 days earlier than the Bing variety. It is characterized by self-fertility, which makes it in demand in breeding programs and as a pollinator.

Fruits at the maturity stage have a dark red, almost mahogany color. The variety is distinguished by small fruit size and a tendency to crack during rainfall, which reduces its commercial appeal for the fresh produce market. At the same time, flower buds in a dormant state possess high winter hardiness.
