The Vipavka variety originates from the Vipava Valley in Slovenia and has a long history of cultivation in the region. The tree is characterized by medium or high vigor with branches directed upwards.

The fruits of this variety have a heart shape and are medium or small in size. The skin is red and has a medium thickness. The pink flesh is juicy, of medium firmness, and has a sweet taste with a slight aroma. The stalk is long.

The variety is early-maturing: harvesting occurs in the first half or middle of May.
