The Cassadora variety tree is characterized by low or medium-low vigor and has a spreading or drooping crown. The variety is common in the vicinity of the towns of Moncalieri and Trofarello in Italy and is part of the local cultural heritage.

The fruits in their visual characteristics resemble the Vigevano variety, but differ in a darker skin color. It belongs to the group of soft-fleshed varieties; the ripening period occurs a few days after the ripening of the Vigevano variety.
