The variety is autochthonous to the region of Italy and is included in national fruit crop genetic resource collections. The medium-sized fruits have an elliptical shape, light red skin, and pink flesh. The average weight of a single fruit is approximately 6.8 grams.

The variety belongs to the S1S3 genetic incompatibility group, which requires the mandatory selection of pollinators with different S-genotype alleles. The variety is characterized by a firm flesh consistency, typical for the Durone group.
