The variety is a seedling of the «Early Purple Gean» variety. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, reaching a height of 3.5–4.5 meters; the crown often has a semi-weeping shape. The variety belongs to the very early group: the harvest matures at the end of May — beginning of June; the fruits ripen unevenly, which extends the harvest over 2–3 pickings.
Fruits weighing 9–12 g have a heart-shaped or spherical form. The color is dark-red, becoming almost black at full maturity. The flesh is juicy, with a dessert sweet taste and a slight acidity; the stone is small and separates well. The fruits are used fresh and for processing.
The variety is self-incompatible; planting of pollinator varieties is required for fruit set. The variety is susceptible to bacterial canker. It can be grafted onto rootstocks such as «Colt» or Mahaleb cherry.
