ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The variety is the result of crossing the Starking and Bing varieties. The trees have medium vigor and a semi-erect canopy shape. Flowering is early, occurring in the last week of March. The variety is self-incompatible and belongs to pollination group IX (S1S4); the pollinator varieties Burlat, Sweet Heart, or Lapins are recommended for it.
The fruits are kidney-shaped, with a diameter of about 28 mm, and are covered with dark red skin. The flesh is dark red and firm, which ensures good transportability. The taste is sweet. The variety is sensitive to Monilinia and has low resistance to fruit cracking, especially in the stalk attachment zone.
