The variety is characterized as mid-season or early-mid-season, the tree is medium-sized. The fruits have a dark red color, a heart-shaped or round shape, their weight varies from 5–8 to 12 g. Data on the type of pollination are contradictory: some sources indicate self-sterility, others — self-fertility.

The name is often used as a trade name for introduced forms. In scientific publications, the term «Georgia» more often refers to the region of origin (Georgia) as a center of crop biodiversity, rather than to a specific breeding variety.
