Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the mid-season maturity group, with the fruiting period occurring from mid-June to early July. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, reaching a height of 4–5 to 7 meters, and forms a wide, lush crown. The variety is winter-hardy and adapts well to various soil types, preferring fertile and well-drained sites.

The fruits are large, weighing 8–12 g, have a heart shape, and a skin color ranging from dark red to almost black. The firm, juicy flesh has a sweet taste with a slight acidity. The variety is self-sterile; to obtain a yield, pollinators such as Hedelfinger Riesenkirsche, Kassins Frühe, or Schneiders späte Knorpelkirsche are required. The fruits have a universal purpose: fresh consumption, processing, and use in the confectionery industry.
