The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing the Large Red and Ruby varieties. The tree is characterized by medium vigor and has a semi-spreading crown.

Fruits ripen 7–18 days after the Burlat variety. They reach 30–38 mm in diameter, have a bright red color, dark red at full maturity, and firm flesh. The variety is self-sterile; Van, Lapins, Early Red, Sweetheart, Burlat, and Santina are suitable as pollinators.

The variety shows medium or low resistance to fruit cracking and is susceptible to viral diseases, such as the Prunus necrotic ringspot virus.
