The tree is characterized by high vigor and regular, abundant fruiting. The fruits are medium-sized, have a bright red shiny skin, and an intensely red, firm, juicy flesh.
The variety ripens at the end of May and is intended both for fresh consumption and for processing into jams and preserves. It is historically cultivated in the Garfagnana region and is included in the genetic resource registers of Tuscany as a rare object for biodiversity conservation.
