The rootstock is distinguished by high vigor; trees grafted on it reach large sizes. Fruiting begins in the 4–6th year. It ensures good compatibility with modern sweet cherry varieties with moderate yields.

It prefers deep, fertile soils and tolerates moist and heavy soils better than others, provided drainage is present. It is characterized by good anchorage, cold hardiness, and moderate tolerance to bacterial canker. In modern intensive orchards, it is gradually being replaced by less vigorous analogs.
