The Meelika tree reaches a height of up to 3.5 meters and has a rounded, spreading crown. The fruits are heart-shaped or oval and weigh 3–4 grams. Upon full maturity, the skin turns black-red or almost black, the flesh is dark red, juicy, of medium firmness, with a stone that separates easily.
The variety belongs to the mid-early maturity group. It is partially self-fertile; for increased yield, planting of pollinator varieties is recommended. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and relative resistance to blossom blight and brown rot of fruits.
