The variety was obtained as a result of open pollination of the Merton Glory variety. The plant forms a vigorous type of tree with an upright, spreading crown. The fruits have a heart-shaped or round form and a dark red, almost black color when reaching full maturity.

The variety is characterized by an early or early-mid maturity period in June. The fruit flesh is juicy and sweet. Among the features, some resistance to bacterial canker is noted, however, the variety is prone to fruit cracking in conditions of rainy weather and excess moisture during the ripening period.
