The Naiada sweet cherry variety was developed at the Mliyev Institute of Pomology. The crop is included in the State Register of Plant Varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine.
Research data for the period 2011–2015 confirm the high productivity of the variety. The main characteristic of the plant is the resistance of the fruits to cracking.
