The variety is classified as late-ripening. The tree has a semi-upright or globose canopy of medium vigor and enters the fruiting stage quickly. Flowering occurs in April–May, which allows for partial avoidance of spring frosts. The variety is hardy and tolerates winter temperatures down to -15 °C.
The fruits are dark purple-red ("black") in color, heart-shaped, and 26–30 mm in caliber. The flesh is firm, juicy, and melting, with a balanced taste and aroma. The variety is characterized by a moderate susceptibility to cracking and requires protection against Monilinia and Stigmina carpophila.
The variety is self-sterile and requires the presence of pollinators such as Summit, Duroni No. 3, Kordia, Regina, Sunburst, Fertard, Ferdiva, or Hedelfingen. It is used primarily for commercial production.
