The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and forms a high-domed or high-pyramidal crown. The variety belongs to the late-maturing group; fruits ripen in July to early August. It is self-incompatible and requires pollinator varieties to produce a crop, and is also dependent on insect activity during the flowering period.

The fruits are large, weighing up to 9 g, have a broad-heart shape and glossy dark-brown-red skin. The flesh is very firm, cartilaginous, moderately juicy, and sweet in taste with a slight spiciness. The variety is intended for fresh consumption and various types of processing.

The wood is characterized by moderate winter hardiness. The variety is susceptible to Monilinia. Fruits may crack during rainy weather at the time of ripening.
