Nimba variety (selection number SMS-290) is characterized by an open, spreading crown and medium tree vigor. Fruits are kidney-shaped, large, 28–32 mm in diameter, distinguished by a dark red color, shiny skin, and firm and juicy flesh with high sugar content.
The variety ripens 3–5 days earlier than the Burlat variety. It possesses good resistance to fruit cracking, however, protection is recommended in high humidity conditions. Data on self-fertility is contradictory; pollinators such as Pacific Red or Sweet Early are often recommended.
