Varieties of the Durone Nero group are medium-sized trees suitable for intensive orchards. The fruits have a round or heart-shaped form, characterized by a firm structure and dark red skin color. The ripening period falls in mid-to-late July.

The variety is self-sterile and requires cross-pollination, for which varieties such as Van, Regina, or Kordia are suitable. The harvest is suitable for fresh consumption, export, and industrial processing. Resistance to common fungal diseases of trees, such as Monilinia and Coccomyces, is not absolute and requires regular preventive treatments.
