The Nejran-a variety is an old local cultivar originating from the municipality of Pecetto Torinese. Trees are characterized by an upright growth habit and moderate vigor. Previously, this variety was often used in vineyards as support for trellises.

Flowering occurs very early, and fruit ripening falls in the first ten days of June, approximately 15 days after the Burlat variety. Fruits are small or medium in size, have a heart-shaped flattened form, a very dark color, and a sweet taste. The flesh is of the tenerina type, characterized by a soft consistency. Productivity is rated as medium-low; fruiting is concentrated on spurs and mixed branches.
