This rootstock is a hybrid of sweet cherry and sour cherry. It belongs to the dwarf and semi-dwarf rootstock group, allowing a reduction in the growth vigour of grafted trees by 20–55% compared to standard seed rootstocks, which permits planting of up to 1000 trees per hectare.
The plant promotes early entry into fruit-bearing and increased yield. It has a shallow root system, which requires trees to be staked. It is characterized by resistance to cold conditions and high propagation capacity via green cuttings and in vitro methods.
When grown in light or dry soils without regular irrigation, trees on this rootstock may show signs of stunted growth, and the fruits may become smaller.
