Trees on P-HL-C rootstock reach 40–50% of the size of a tree grafted on a standard seedling rootstock. The plant is characterized by a shallow root system, requiring the installation of a support in windy locations.
The rootstock exhibits resistance to cold climatic conditions and partial resistance to heavy soil types. Propagation is carried out using in vitro tissue culture methods.
