The tree of this variety is characterized by high vigor, a semi-erect crown shape, and early entry into fruit-bearing. The fruiting type is concentrated on spur branches. The variety is self-incompatible with an S3S4 genetic profile; flowering occurs at mid-early times, 1–2 days before the Burlat variety.
The fruit has a heart shape and a large size, reaching 30 mm in diameter. Skin color varies from bright red to dark red, almost black, upon full ripening. The flesh is characterized by firmness, a crunchy texture, a sugar level of about 18° Brix, and low acidity.
The variety is classified as mid-early, ripening 8–12 days after the Burlat variety. Sweet Aryana, Sweet Gabriel, Burlat, and Fertille are recommended as pollinators.
