The variety is also known under the name Nemecká rýchlica, which is a translation of the German name Früheste der Mark. This is a historical variety, not the result of modern breeding.

Trees of this variety are most often grown on mahaleb cherry rootstock. Like many old early varieties, Rýchlica is characterized by small fruit size and low transportability after harvest.
