The Shans variety belongs to the early-maturing group. The fruits are characterized by a large size, and the tree itself shows high yield and suitability for use in commercial plantations.

The plant possesses complex resistance to common diseases, such as Monilinia and Coccomyces. The generative buds of the variety are distinguished by good resistance to the effects of low winter temperatures.
