The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of about 4.5 meters, and has an open spreading crown. The variety is self-fertile, enters fruiting in 3–5 years, and is characterized by late flowering, which allows it to avoid recurrent spring frosts.
The fruits are large, weighing 9–12 g, with a dark red, almost black skin at maturity and firm "cartilaginous" flesh. The sugar content is 14.9–17° Brix, and the stone separates well.
The variety possesses high fruit resistance to cracking and good transportability. The trees demonstrate good winter hardiness, while having average susceptibility to Monilinia and sensitivity to brown rot.
