The variety Štrekelca is also known by the names Karnjuka, Mišulka, Progovka, and Karnjievka. The origin of the variety is unknown; it is included in fruit crop genetic resources.

The onset of flowering occurs in the first ten days of April; fruit ripening begins in the first ten days of June. The pit weight is approximately 0.46 g, and the fruit-to-pit weight ratio is 15.7.
