The Zabuta variety tree is medium-sized, featuring a spreading and slightly drooping crown. The variety belongs to the early maturity group.

The fruits have a round-heart shape and dark red skin and flesh color. The flesh is juicy, cartilaginous, without white veins. Sugar content is about 12.47%, vitamin C content is medium.

The variety provides a high yield of grade I commercial quality fruits, however, in years with heavy precipitation, the fruits show poor resistance to cracking.
