The tree forms a large pyramidal crown with loose branching and strong lateral shoots. Young foliage has a reddish tint, which changes to light green in summer. The variety is distinguished by regular and high yields, high winter hardiness, and resistance of flowers to spring frosts.

The fruits are heart-shaped, shiny, and dark red with a long peduncle. The juicy dark red flesh has a pronounced tartness and high taste qualities when fully ripe. The variety is early; ripening begins in late May, and the fruits are capable of remaining on the tree for a long time after ripening.

The fruits are versatile in use: they are suitable for fresh consumption, canning, production of marmalade, and distillates. The variety is recommended for home gardens and traditional orchards with tall-stemmed trees, and it is also preserved in genetic collections.
