The tree or shrub reaches a height of 2.5–3.0 meters with a crown width of 2.0–2.5 meters. The plant is distinguished by a compact, well-branched habit. The foliage is chocolate-brown, transitioning in summer to a black-red shade. Flowering occurs in March-April with creamy-white flowers.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness down to -28 °C and is characterized as hardy. Data on fruit quality is absent, as the plant is intended exclusively for decorative use in gardens and small spaces. The variety is distinguished by smaller dimensions in comparison with the Nigra variety.
