The variety belongs to local Croatian breeding and is part of the national genetic fund. In scientific literature, it is more often classified as a type of damson (Prunus insititia L.), although it is sometimes considered in general studies of plum crops.
The fruits have an elliptical shape and reach a weight of up to 44.22 g, the content of soluble solids is about 8.78° Brix. The leaf shape is also predominantly elliptical.
The variety can be susceptible to viral diseases, in particular Prunus necrotic ringspot virus (PNRSV). In literature, the variety is mentioned in lists of traditional crops of Eastern Croatia.
