The Timpuriu de Aiud tree possesses vigorous growth both in the nursery and in the orchard. The variety is considered long-lived and demonstrates satisfactory drought tolerance. Sensitivity to red leaf spot has been noted.
The variety is undemanding to soil and climatic conditions. For cultivation, it is recommended to use cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera) as a rootstock.
