The tree is characterized by a loose, wide canopy with drooping branches and reaches a height of 5–10 meters. Flowering occurs late, in April-May. The variety is partially self-fertile and demonstrates medium or high, but often irregular, yields.
The fruits are ellipsoid in shape, weighing 28–35 g, and have dark blue or purple skin with a bloom. The flesh is golden, firm, and juicy, with a good aromatic-spicy taste; the pit separates well. Fruit ripening occurs during the period from the end of August to September.
The variety is sensitive to fruit cracking during excess rainfall and adverse weather conditions during flowering. The plant shows high susceptibility to plum pox virus and Monilinia.
