The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Reine Claude Verte and California Blue. The tree is medium-vigorous or vigorous, has a spreading crown shape, and branches prone to drooping under load. The variety enters bearing early, is distinguished by regular yield, and may show biennial bearing if overloaded.

Fruits are medium to large in size, round-flattened in shape, weighing about 45 g. The color is dark blue with a waxy bloom; the flesh is amber-colored, firm, and juicy. The taste is intense, sweet, and aromatic. Pit detachment is moderate; fruits are resistant to cracking and have good keeping quality.

Flowering is late. The variety is self-sterile or partially self-fertile, requiring the presence of pollinators such as Reine Claude de Bavay, Nancymirabelle, Hanita, Stanley, or Fellenberg. Compatible with Mariana GF 8-1 and myrobalan rootstocks.
