The variety was obtained by crossing Ruth Gerstetter and President varieties. The tree is characterized by an upright growth habit, winter hardiness, abundant flowering, and good fruit set. The variety shows immunity to Plum pox virus, and fruits are not prone to shedding.
The medium-sized fruits have dark purple skin. The flesh is amber-yellow or greenish-yellow, firm, aromatic, uniform in consistency, and does not separate from the pit upon ripening. The produce is resistant to mechanical damage.
