The variety was bred by gamma-ray irradiation of cuttings of the d'Ente 707 variety. It is intended primarily for the production of prunes. It is characterized by earlier fruit ripening and flowering dates compared to the original d'Ente variety.
The plant has a compact growth habit, improved branching, and increased fruit set. It is a self-fertile variety.
