The variety is a tree with high vigor and an upright crown shape. The plant requires about 800 chilling hours and is self-fertile, although cross-pollination contributes to better fruit set. The variety shows resistance to canker.
The medium-sized fruits are egg-shaped and have reddish-purple or dark purple skin. The flesh is firm, tender, dark amber in color, with a high sugar content. The stone separates from the flesh. The fruits are capable of remaining on the branches until harvest, which facilitates mechanized harvesting.
