The Pitestean tree is of medium vigor and forms a conical crown. The skeletal branches are of moderate thickness and are well covered with fruiting structures in the form of spurs and medium-sized branches. The variety’s flowering is late.
The plant is resistant to red leaf spot and shows low susceptibility to Monilinia and plum pox virus. The fruits are large and have good taste qualities. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption and for making sugar-free fruit butter.
