The variety originates from the Sardinian gene pool and is cultivated as a tree with medium to high vigor. Flowering of the variety occurs very early: 14 days earlier than the Non Pareil variety and 18–20 days earlier than the Genco and Tuono varieties.
The plant is self-incompatible. Kernel yield is rated as good, comparable to the reference variety Ne Plus Ultra, with a very low percentage of 'double' seeds noted.
