The variety was obtained by crossing the Ferragnès and Tuono varieties. The tree has medium vigor, the crown is semi-open or upright, and the height varies from 2.5 to 9 meters depending on conditions. The flowering period occurs in March, and fruit ripening occurs at the end of August or the beginning of September.
The plant possesses high frost resistance and tolerance to fungal diseases such as Polystigma fulvum, but shows sensitivity to Fusicoccum. The variety is self-fertile and enters into fruit bearing quickly.
The fruits have a semi-hard shell and an elongated kernel weighing 0.9–1.3 g. The kernel yield is 29–38%. The variety is suitable for consumption in dried form and for the production of almond products, such as flour or paste.
